Dreaming of living in a log cabin?
Have you ever rented a log cabin and your nose immediately became stuffy?

Log cabins are notorious for holding onto dust.

What is dust? Essentially it's pollen, mold, skin cells, & dust mite poop that gathers onto stuff. In a log cabin, it will settle on the tops of round logs and on the Log Jam Chinking.

I have a severe dust mite allergy- I can tell when it's been too long since I've dusted. My nose will be stuffy & the roof of my mouth will itch.

Because I like to feel my best, I've created this little routine around dusting our log cabin home.

Here are a few tips to manage your dust in your log cabin:
-Own an air purifier and make sure to vacuum the filter regularly.
-Set a calendar alarm to remind you to vacuum your walls quarterly. I vacuum the living room one weekend and our bathroom & bedroom another weekend.
-A lot of log cabin owners love decorating with a "Primitive Style" which includes lots of antiques and knick-knacks. If you decorate with a more minimalistic style, there will be less clutter to attract dust / to clean.

I can't believe it's been 2 years since Brock pick

I can't believe it's been 2 years since Brock picked Rudy and I up in his 2000 minivan and moved us to Wyoming during the middle of the night.

Ok I realize it sounds like we were kidnapped, but all is good. Brock moved out a month before us to try & find housing.

Driving through South Dakota was long.

Once we hit Wyoming we were sleepy eyed & excited.

Driving through the Big Horn mountains surprised us with black ice, snow, sleet, & countless moose crossing signs. We white knuckled it the entire way.

Since then, Wyoming has become home. We've had the best adventures, and met tons of inspiring & do-it-yourself friends, learned how to live more off-grid, & took in the most beautiful sites.

If your heart is calling you elsewhere, I hope that you have the courage to follow it. 💗

It's the same but different. It's normal for our

It's the same but different.

It's normal for our goals and wants to change as we evolve, experience life, & create new priorities.

I went from teaching at yoga festivals, studios, taking teacher trainings around the world & blogging about our adventures to being a micro-traveling yoga teacher. I now host public and private classes & workshops across the beautiful Cody, Wyoming area.

While I stay close to home, I still meet inspiring people from all over & hear their stories. The mountain sights are nice too. And at the end of the day, I sleep in my own bed.

I may not catch flights often & my travels consist of packing our car with a small arsenal of yoga props, all is good. I'm loving this life that we've created & it feels perfect for where we’re at.
